Tour & Tea

Be our guest for a Tour & Tea at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia. This welcoming program, designed for those with dementia and their care partners, provides an opportunity to enjoy art and socialize as part of a small group in a warm, homelike setting.

Guests will be welcomed by Pamela Evans, Descriptive Tour Coordinator, who will host a tour of selected artworks on view in the Gallery. They will be invited to share thoughts, ideas and experiences about what they see. Following the tour, Pamela will serve the table in Pavia Espresso Bar as she encourages conversation and reflection over tea or coffee.

"I feel so comfortable on these tours and I always learn something new. I look forward to going." –Participant

"It is a great opportunity to get out and visit the Art Gallery and have a coffee and discussion. I wouldn't miss it." –Participant

"We get a lot of positive feedback from the participants at this program. It is so meaningful to provide opportunities to connect with art in a safe space. It is a chance for participants to reminisce and share stories from the past, to meet new friends, and to have a nice morning out together.” –Coordinator
