Corporate Information

The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia's annual operating budget is supported by a number of government initiatives. The provincial allotment is given from the Nova Scotia Department of Communities, Culture & Heritage. Additional funding comes from the Department of Canadian Heritage, The Canadian Council for the Arts, Halifax Regional Municipality, and other municipal governments.

Beyond this, each year the Gallery raises more than 55% of its operating funds through individual, corporate, and foundation donors, from other private sector partners and from admissions and memberships.
