Rachelle Viader Knowles received a BA(Hons) in Fin Art from the University of Wales College, Newport, UK in 1993and an MFA in Visual Arts (Multi Media) from the University of Windsor, Ontario in 1996. Knowles works in a broad array of media including video, digital imaging and text, selecting media as appropriate to the content and context of display, to create dynamic environments that the viewer enters into, both physically and metaphorically.
She has had solo exhibitions at the Art Gallery of Calgary; the Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba; Mackenzie Gallery; PEAK Gallery, Chapter Arts Center, Cardiff, UK; and the Art Gallery of Windsor. She has participated in the Experimental Text Festival, NY, The Berlin International Film Festival, and exhibited in group exhibitions at the Three Walls Gallery, Chicago, AKA Gallery, SK, and the Toronto International Art Fair ’02 and ’03, among others.
She has an upcoming solo exhibition (2008) at The Mendel Art Gallery as well as a collaborative exhibition (2008) at the Dunlop Art Gallery.
Rachelle Viader Knowles lives and works in Regina. She is represented in Toronto by PEAK Gallery.
