Artist collective of Jasmin Bilodeau (1973), Sébastien Giguère (1972), and Nicolas Laverdière (1972).
All three artists in the collective B.G.L. have Bachelors of Visual Arts from Université Laval (1996) and live and work in Québec City. The artists have worked together for a decade and produce elaborate installations using consumer materials. They have received numerous grants from Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec, Canada Council for the Arts, and received the Videre visual arts event award in Quebec.
Selected Solo exhibitions include Need to believe, Mercer Union, Toronto, A L'abri des arbres, Montreal Museum of Contemporary Art and Perdu dans la nature, La Chambre Blanche, Quebec. B.G.L. have participated in many group exhibitions internationally, including shows in Luxembourg, Poland, France and Mexico; and nationally in Quebec, Ontario, Saskatchewan. They have participated in various artist residencies since 1998 and have created many interventionist installations and performances for unexpected places, in urban centres, clear-cut forests and parks.
