Nocturne is pleased to announce two
free buses traveling on separate routes for the night of October 17th.
For the second year the buses provided courtesy of Metro Transit and HRM will
be offering service roughly every 45 minutes – an hour from 6:00 pm – midnight.
Each bus offers free entertainment by a variety of local musicians, and the
chance to visit many galleries and exhibitions outside the downtown core.
The BROWN-Northbound Bus departs
from The Hub Halifax on Barrington Street and makes its way through the North End
on route to MSVU Art Gallery. The Northbound bus will feature entertainment by
Boo Boo Kiss, heavy meadows, Tim Crabtree and Paper Beat Scissors, Bob Ardern,
Ann Denny, and Mishra’s Dream.
The ORANGE-Southbound Bus departs
from 1656 Barrington Street traveling south towards Marginal Road, and then to
Saint Mary’s Art Gallery, Dalhousie Art Gallery, Quinpool Road and Cunard Street.
The Southbound Bus features entertainment by Mary Stewart, Rob Reid, Cyndi
Cain, Ryan MacGrath, Vanessa Furlong and Robert Drisdelle.

About Nocturne: Art at Night Nocturne: Art at Night is a festival bringing art and energy to the streets of
Halifax between 6:00 p.m. and midnight on Saturday, October 17th. The
completely free, second annual event showcases and celebrates the exciting arts
scene in Halifax. The Nocturne program, map, bus, and walking tours guide
residents and visitors alike to a variety of exhibitions in galleries and
public spaces throughout the city. The signature event, designed and planned by
volunteers within the community, is an opportunity for everyone to experience
