Free transit for Nocturne

Nocturne is pleased to announce two free buses traveling on separate routes for the night of October 17th. For the second year the buses provided courtesy of Metro Transit and HRM will be offering service roughly every 45 minutes – an hour from 6:00 pm – midnight. Each bus offers free entertainment by a variety of local musicians, and the chance to visit many galleries and exhibitions outside the downtown core.

The BROWN-Northbound Bus departs from The Hub Halifax on Barrington Street and makes its way through the North End on route to MSVU Art Gallery. The Northbound bus will feature entertainment by Boo Boo Kiss, heavy meadows, Tim Crabtree and Paper Beat Scissors, Bob Ardern, Ann Denny, and Mishra’s Dream.

The ORANGE-Southbound Bus departs from 1656 Barrington Street traveling south towards Marginal Road, and then to Saint Mary’s Art Gallery, Dalhousie Art Gallery, Quinpool Road and Cunard Street. The Southbound Bus features entertainment by Mary Stewart, Rob Reid, Cyndi Cain, Ryan MacGrath, Vanessa Furlong and Robert Drisdelle.

Pick up a program for the list of stops where you can hop on or off. You’ll also find more information on all our performers.
