The Yarmouth Art Society Life Drawing Group meets every second Friday afternoon 1-3:30pm in the Community Room at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia at Alma Square. This group allows participants of all levels, to practice drawing the human form, with both short and long studies. We employ clothed models as available, or take turns modelling when not. Local artists tend to be fairly social, and enjoy each other’s company. Working as a group gives us the opportunity to learn from each other, or if you prefer to work independently.
The Gallery is the most creative location to work - great lighting, comfortable environment, surrounded by some of the finest art in the province. We have easels available on a first come first served basis.
Sometimes drawing with a group is inspiring because you link up with other artists who share many of the same goals, and to hopefully gain confidence in your own work.
The cost will be $5 for Model Fee. Yarmouth Art Society or Art Gallery of Nova Scotia membership fees not required all are welcome.
