Folk Art of Nova Scotia celebrates the Province's distinct heritage through the work of artists whose lives were, and are, inextricably bound to the land and sea.
Including paintings, drawings, carved figures, and painted objects, the works in this exhibition illustrate themes of domestic life, farming, and fishing while revealing the intuitive genius of its makers. Recognized pioneers in the field such as Maud Lewis, Joe Norris, Joseph Sleep, Charlie Tanner, Collins Eisenhauer, Sidney Howard, Donald Boudreau, and Bradford Naugler are represented along with many others from this rich and varied tradition.
