2013 Nova Scotia Art Bank Purchases

Arts Nova Scotia and the AGNS Western Branch are honoured to showcase works from the 2013 Nova Scotia Art Bank Purchase Program. This exhibition highlights the breadth and diversity of artistic practice in Nova Scotia through examples of sculpture, photography, painting, textiles, printmaking, and drawing that includes exceptional works by the following Nova Scotian artists:

Alex Livingston, Anne Macmillan, Carly Butler, Charley Young, D’Arcy Wilson, Eleanor King, Matthew Collins, Noah Logan, Patrick Rapati, Sarah Burwash, Sarah Maloney, Susan Feindel, Susan Wood, Wilma Needham, and Yorodeo (Seth Smith and Paul Hammond).

The Nova Scotia Art Bank encourages the development of artistic excellence and stimulates an awareness of and interest in visual arts and craft among Nova Scotians and their visitors. This is accomplished through the acquisition, maintenance and display of works of art by professional Nova Scotian artists. Works are added to the collection annually through the purchase program as recommended by peer jury.
