About Lesson Plans The first lesson plans, compiled by teachers for teachers, linked The Art of the Ancient Mediterranean and Treasures of Ancient Egypt to concepts in visual art, social studies, mathematics, science, and language arts. Additional lessons, currently in development, are based on permanent collections at The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia with a particular focus on the theme of “Flight” for the 2008-09 school year.
