The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia is proud to offer educational tours during the school year to enrich the learning of students and teachers.

In April, 2012 the Gallery announced the Canaccord Free Access School Program. Effective immediately all Nova Scotia students coming to the Gallery on school visits are able to visit at no cost.

Students and teachers always enjoy visiting our Permanent Collection as well which includes the painted house of folk artist Maud Lewis!

About our Tours:

-Tours are 1 ½ hours long and are available for booking Tuesday – Friday beginning at 10am.
-Cost is free to all Nova Scotia students courtesy of Canaccord Wealth Management
-Maximum class size of 60 students
-Maximum student/adult ratio of 5:1
-Gallery visit bookings must be made a minimum of three weeks in advance 
-Groups enter through Gallery South via the courtyard.

Booking a Tour:
1) Select which Tour Option or exhibition you would like to experience
2) Fill out the online Booking form
3) We will confirm your booking by email

Who will guide your group?
Highly trained, experienced, and dedicated docents, our volunteer guides, will lead your group. Teachers and adult chaperones are required to stay with each group and are responsible for discipline.

Daily tours (according to Gallery hours) 2:30 pm
Thursday 2:30 and 7:00 pm

Tours are conducted by highly trained and dedicated volunteer guides.
