Community Programs

Citadel Mural

The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia has supported the direction of enhancing public access through a community collaborative partnership model that has generated significant demand for a new range of services.

Many of our partnerships are non-traditional and cross into various sectors of the community. Partnership programs positively reflect the creativity and diversity of our communities. They provide high quality art experiences for people of all ages who might not otherwise have access to such opportunities.

Curatorial Projects with the Community
Curatorial projects provide a unique opportunity for the Gallery to work with community. These projects encourage diverse perspectives, as reflected in artwork created through various community collaborations to be seen in exhibitions. Our visitors are able to intersect with the life experiences of others in unexpected ways.
