Autism Arts

Pottery Wheel

Autism ArtsArt is a wonderful tool for self-expression, especially when words can be missing. There are very limited recreational activities that consider the unique needs of people with autism. Autism Arts is designed to provide creative opportunities for people with ASD by presenting meaningful and inspiring art experiences. Arts programming is available for children, youth , adults and families. This partnership provides an ideal opportunity for the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and the Provincial Autism Centre to work together to build healthy communities.

Art Classes
Art classes for eight week sessions are available in the fall, winter and spring for children ages 6 and older. Classes take place in the Art Gallery Studios on Saturdays and are 90 minutes in duration. A well-qualified and experienced artist/art educator and an occupational therapist work together to provide a fun, safe and creative learning environment. Please call 446-4995 to register.
