Autism Arts
Art is a wonderful tool for self-expression, especially when words can be missing. There are very limited recreational activities that consider the unique needs of people with autism. Autism Arts is designed to provide creative opportunities for people with ASD by presenting meaningful and inspiring art experiences.

Arts programming is available for children, youth , adults, and families. This partnership provides an ideal opportunity for the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and   Autism Nova Scotia to build healthy communities.  This program is in its 8th year in Halifax and is now offered at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia Western Branch in Yarmouth too.

Art Classes

Art classes for eight week sessions are available in the fall, winter, and spring for children ages six and up. Classes take place in the Gallery studios on Saturdays and are 60 minutes long. A well-qualified and experienced artist/art educator and an occupational therapist work together to provide a fun, safe, and creative learning environment. Call 446 4995 to register.

Registration for Autism Arts in Halifax begins Monday, December 8th. The Winter Session begins on Saturday, January 10th.
