National Youth Arts Week Launch Party
Tuesday, May 1 - 5:30 PM

On Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 5:30 PM the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia will host the official Launch
Party for Nova Scotia’s National Youth Arts Week. This event is free and open to the public!
There is an exciting line-up of performers including Concrete Roots hip hop dancers, Poets 4
Change spoken word artists, Mocean Dance Gen Y interpretive dance, an interactive film festival, beat boxers, live music, improv and more!

National Youth Arts Week will take place from May 1 to 7, 2012 and will feature simultaneous
youth-driven projects and events from St. John’s to Vancouver. National Youth Arts Week is
a unique opportunity for Canadian communities to join together to showcase the energy and

National Youth Arts week is a project of the Arts Network for Children and Youth (ANCY) and is supported by Canadian Heritage and the Michaelle Jean Foundation. Locally National Youth Arts Week is supported by the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and the Launch Party is in partnership with the Halifax Regional Municipality.
