Circuit Bending with Adam Kelly, artist featured in
Sometimes Always(this workshop is aimed at children 8 years and older).
Join local artist and electronics technician Adam Kelly to learn how to circuit bend with second-hand electronic keyboards. Circuit bending is the intuitive and experimental short-circuiting of electronic instruments to create new sounds.
You will also have the chance to build an electronic noisemaker using the 555 timer chip. The 555 timer is one of the most popular and versatile integrated circuits ever produced. It can be used to build many different circuits, from circuits that blink LEDs to circuits that make noise.
