Stop Motion Animation Workshop with artist Graeme Patterson

Join artist Graeme Patterson for a casual, quick, and fun workshop tutorial for creating stop-motion animation for all ages. Much like a game of charades, each participant will animate at least one short video using their own body as a puppet. Group animations will also be encouraged. Participants will see how each animation is filmed and processed through the use of a DLSR camera and a laptop using stop-motion animation software.

Drop in, no registration required! Stop by the exhibition, Material World  to see how artist Kristan Horton uses stop motion animation in his work.

An opportunity for families with children with autism to come and create art together in the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia studios.This Family Sunday is presented through the partnership between AGNS and Autism Nova Scotia. Art materials are provided.

AGNS Literary Day
12pm - 2:00pm

Please join editors and curators David Diviney and Sarah Fillmore as they launch their books David Askevold and Jacques Hurtubise and pay tribute to two of Nova Scotia's finest artists. There will be a Q&A with Sarah and David hosted by Carmen Klassen of CBC's Radio's Close to Home. Reception and book signing to follow. Books will also be available for purchase.
