To celebrate the arrival of Tall Ships in Halifax the Gallery will have a great Tall Ships Eye-Spy Family Guide for pick up in the Front Lobby so the whole family can have a fun time exploring the world of sea through art! We also have some great pirate tattoos and bookmarks to giveaway.

Nova Voce, "Farewell to Nova Scotia" Concert at 3:00pm

Join us in the courtyard of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia for a performance by Nova Voce, Nova Scotia's provincial men's choir. Farewell to Nova Scotia, is a concert of music that the touring choir of Nova Voce will be taking to Italy on an upcoming performance tour. (if inclement weather, performance will be in the Windsor Lecture Theatre)

Nudity, Heroism and Lust: The Idealised Body and the Desiring Gaze
Join us for a lecture presentation by long-time gay activitist, Robin Metcalfe, Director/Curator of Saint Mary's University Art Gallery as he traces the history of how the human body has been represented in Western art. Part of the programming for Skin: the seduction of surface.
