AGNS announces new Director of Development

The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia is pleased to announce the appointment of Bernard Doucet as the Gallery's new Director of Development. Mr. Doucet brings a diverse background from both the private and public sectors including the Parliament of Canada as well as the retail and corporate international sectors of the Scotiabank Group. Most recently
Mr. Doucet was Account Director at Arts & Communications, one of Canada's leading boutique cultural sponsorship marketing agencies. His experience gives the AGNS a national perspective on cultural sponsorship as well as private and corporate philanthropy in the visual arts. Mr. Doucet holds a Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University and
an MBA from Dalhousie University. Mr. Doucet will work to enhance the Gallery's fund development initiatives.

Mr. Doucet's employment began March 9, 2009.
