Plan a Holiday Visit to the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia


December 10, 2012 – HALIFAX, NS – Explore the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia with your family and friends over the holidays. Take a break from the holiday rush with a leisurely journey through snowy scenes in Canadian Pioneers: Tom Thomson, Emily Carr, J.W. Morrice and The Group of Seven - Masterworks from the Sobey Collections, only on view until January 6, 2013. Enjoy daily tours and make use of our fun Family Guides and our interactive drawing and letter-writing station in the Gallery.

Daily tours take place Wednesday to Sunday at 2:30pm and on BMO Free Access Thursday Nights there is also a tour at 7:00pm. The Gallery also encourages use of our fun Family Guides available for the Maud Lewis Gallery and Canadian Pioneers. Family guides are a relaxing and enjoyable way to tour through the Gallery.

Holiday Opening Hours are:

December 24-25: CLOSED
December 26: 10:00am - 5:00pm
December 27-28: 10:00am – 9:00pm
December 29: 10:00am – 5:00pm
December 30: 12:00noon – 5:00pm
December 31-January 1: CLOSED
The Gallery Re-opens on January 2nd with regular gallery hours. 

The Gallery Shop will be open on December 24 from 11:00am-2:00pm for last minute gift hunters and also on December 26 10:00am-5:00pm.

You can also indulge your yuletide taste buds at the Gallery’s café, Untitled Eats which offers a classic menu of delicious regional dishes. Untitled Eats can be reached at 902-424-8708.
